The image will be resized to fit 4K standards. Example: the image of dimension 13583 x 5417 will be resized to 3840 x 1531.
An issue was discovered where the stream allocator feature might allocate cast devices that were not properly reset on previous de-allocation. The system will now ensure a cast device is in the pairing screen mode when allocation is attempted.
The alpha slider widget can now be connected to the flights and directional widgets to enable flitering of content.

A system to override broken airline logos from the flight-provider has been implemented.
The system now supports 4K video transcoding for signage video uploads. Upon uploading, the system automatically detects if the video is a candidate for 4K or HD transcoding. Users have the option to force HD transcoding if preferred.
Please note, not all displays can smoothly playback 4K videos. If you encounter playback issues, opt to disable 4K during the upload process. Further documentation will be provided soon.
This deployment introduces an initial version of the dynamic table document type and signage widget. This feature is currently available for early adopters and testers.

Reports have been received regarding installation issues with Blufin Linux displays. While not all issues have been replicated successfully, multiple improvements have been implemented to enhance the installation process's robustness.

Special Characters in Room Names: We've resolved a problem where using special characters in room names interfered with API requests. Room names with special characters are now fully supported without impacting functionality.
GoogleTV cast devices(gen4) will now report WiFi signal strength to the management portal. Noise level is not reported.
Newer Philips 5x12 displays could hang in a cloning process when going poweron -> standby -> poweron due to issues with the way the TV channels were programmed to the TV.
In the latest release of the major browsers running the blink rendering engine, there was an issue in the menu/template editor causing the scrollbar-areas to be displayed.
In some very spesific cases, when using the "override all other content" display condition on a meeting-room screen, the screen could turn black.

Resellers can now set up mail alerts to be sent every time license volumes change(number of screens), or new sites are created.
TV configurations can now be set up without any main menu if using the Hospitality -> Config -> Show TV channels on power-on configuration. Pressing the menu-key while this configuration is running will then have no effect.
Also a bugfix was done for TVs booting up while in power-on mode using this setting. Some models would display the loading icon until user interaction was performed.
The RSS ticker widget can now be set up to scroll left to right.
A language-selection widget is now available for interactive signage. This widget will display the currently selected language and pop up a list when a user interacts.
The default language can be set under Signage -> Configuration in the portal.
Any content that is to be translated must be translated when building template content. The generic container is the main widget to use if translations are required.
A new management command has been added to the portal so that you can configure WiFi on the players remotely. In addition to that, the the WiFi connector has been improved to support:
When setting up a signage-template that supports interactivity, the option to set a timeout that delays any transitions to the next content after any interaction has now changed for on spesific case. If there is only one template in the current timeslot, the template is re-displayed and any language-selection is reverted after the interactivit timeout is fired.
The Samsung Tizen 6.5 HBU8000 TV is now supported in the system, but final firmware from Samsung has yet to be released.
The HD-1 player and the bluefin display now support receiving TZ-information from the portal so they can operate in other TZ's than the one the site is configured for.
Clicking the top-bar "Site information" menu in the portal will now show the distributor information for users that has reseller access.

Two bugs were resolved regarding video playback in signage templates.
The signage widgets for flight data and event directions now support touch interactions for scrolling. When scrolling by touch, the regular autoscroll or pagination will be suspended temporarly.
The tumbnail generator used to build the thumbnails for templates and menu-pages now performs better in high load scenarios.
Samsung Tizen displays now use the screens native rotation mode when setting the 270 rotation(90 rotation according to the samsung settings). This rotation mode will ensure that embedded items such as the YouTube player also rotate video playback.
As always the rotation setting is only to be done in the managment portal, not on screen during installation.
Some new formatting options are available for the directional widget.
The flights widget will now correctly display arrivals/departures for delayed flights.
When using the HD1 signage player in portrait mode a scrollbar would display at the bottom of the screen. This has been fixed.

The site agent resource service will synchronize any videos uploaded on a site to local storage and serve locally to TVs.
This allows for adding videos such as background streams for UIs, brand videos etc to the user experience with no need for external video-hosting.
Wake-up alarms should now fire within the minute it was set for. Earlier it might fire more than one minute late.
A spesific ID, earlier only available to IPK-apps, can now be listed in the tv-client overview for LG IDCAP-enabled devices.

This is set up per TV configuration and can therefore be set to different values/disabled for different times of days and/or groups of screens.
Host logos(eg company logos) can now be auto-mapped for events that are either created in the portal or imported via an integration.

In preparation for supporting Digital Signage, the menu editor now supports adding in any custom resolution. For TV the standard 1920x1080 should still be used.

XLS exports now can include the TV-vendor, types and firmware columns.
In preparation for signage-support in the system, menu pages can now freely be set to any resolution. However, the TV application ALWAYS runs in 1920x1080(default size in editor), so only pages of this size will display correctly on TVs.
A simple matrix layout overview of screens is now available in the portal. This is quite simple for now, but will be expanded later.

Custom CSS classes can now also be set on Menu Pages. Earlier this option was only available on menu elements.
The TV service PIN code can now be configured per site.
A dedicated menu for TVs booting up to offline mode can now be created and configured. TVs will download and store this menu and use it after startup if there is no connectivity. The regular menu will be loaded once connectivity is restored.
Filter on whitelabel roperty and link to whitelabeled external portals from the details page.
When there are a hughe set of updates on the TVs on a site, the updates are now batched from the portal to optimiaze efficiency on the client side.
This release introduces a new concept in the menu page design process: global style sheets. These are CSS documents that can be shared between menu-pages making changing styles across all pages a lot easier. Global stylesheets will be parts of theme imports and a tutorial will be up soon.
This update also introduces support for adding comments in the page and element CSS, and duplicated properties(for fallback).
From the guest management screen, portal users can now assign screen configuration schedules to a guest. The set configuration will be applied to all screens for the duration of the guest stay. It will then revert back on check-out.
One can now sort the groups in channel tables by drag and drop.
A few bugs causing editing of timeslots not to work properly, have been fixed in the config scheduling UI.

In very rare cases the FIAS PMS service might need to synchronize state. The FIAS integration using the on-premise proxy, now suppoorts this.
A TV-service to retrieve the guest bill is now available. This can be used to build pages for guests to see their current bill.
Neative apps will now be terminated when exitting them on Tizen screens. This is based on feedback that performance in UI elements suffer when a netive app is runing in the background.
Parameters can now be passed by key and value to native apps. The value can be templated.
A new screen management function has been added to install apps on newer WebOS models.
One can now change the TV location binding from the service menu. This only works if the room address(number) is an exact match with the number given.
You can now use dynamic values in content that is rendered using the QR content-type in menu elements.

Apps that are sideloaded can now be started on webOS using the same functionallity as for the preloaded apps.
The preview function in the theme context was watermarked due to a bug. This has now been resolved.
In preparation for offering on-premis based services a hardware appliance can now be installed running a custom OS image managed by the cloud system via an outgoing connection. For now this does not introduce any new features by itself, but the installation and management of the agent device is now available. As soon as features that are built on this functionallity are released they will be announced here.
The Philips 5014 will now automatically update the application every night.
APIs are now available to display the active subtitle language in menupages.
The selected system language on the TV is now also used as the default fallback language for subtitles.

When pressing BACK-key in TV-mode(or any root page with autohidden elements), while auto-hide elements are showing will now just hide the elements, not go to main menu.
Some stability issues with the multiday EPG services has been resolved.
A dashboard indicator displaying the PMS connectivity status is now shown for all sites that has a PMS-integration enabled.

The soft Access Point feature in Samsung screens can now be controlled via screen configurations. The AP SSID and key can be displayed in the TV pages via dynamic functions.
A new menu element type is now available. This element can play back youtube videos and be controlled via events from other elements.
For now this feature is not available on Samsung Orsay
All folders under content can now be renamed and moved. This is useful when dealing with theme imports.
A new TV-configuration option for setting a "power on" menu-page is now available. This page will display every time the TV goes from standby to poweron state. Can be used to display some initial information or promotion.
A tutorial demonstrating how to create, configure and publish a theme is now available.
The EPG feature is now based off two different licenses: "EPG curr/next" and "EPG multiday". If none of these are set up for the site then no EPG data will be available.
List elements can now use a dynamic function to initialize the initial highlight in the list. This can be used in eg welcome-pages to highlight the check-in language.
You can now choose default content to display on a TV/Screen in case a templating error occurs
You should only have to log in once on your mobile device when registering TVs by QR code.

A new page element type is now available. This element displays images in a timed slideshow. Images can be a mix of internal (from the system), external (from any URL) or set in page parameters.
You can now see the publish date of the available themes.
Themes are also presented ordered by publish date, so you will always see the most recent publications first.
A new menu action is available to close a page after a given time of inactivity.
We have done some adjustments to the template editor. Mainly visual to improve the experience.

Theme editing mode now shares almost all the features found on a proper site. This is to be able to check any function depending on rooms, guests, welcomes, TV-channels etc.
Real TVs can also be registered, but these will be watermaked.
Two new videos have been published: Working with documents and infopages and importing themes.
You can now set spesific font-sizes in documents. Earlier you were limited to small, medium and large.
Fixed an issue causing font uploads to fail in certain cases.
If you have access to multiple sites you can now move screens between these with no need to re-register.
All screens in the portal will now warn you if you try to leave a page with unsaved data.
You can now replace images in the portal. This is super-convenient when importing themes as you can replace an image with no need to replace all the references in the menu-pages.

The guest name(s) are now available in the TV for templating in menu pages.
The theme mode now provides almost all features available on sites to allow testing features such as wakeup and checkin etc. TVs can be registered on themes, but they will be watermarked.

Some fixes regarding updates in the mediachannel and channeltable pages were done.
You can now instruct a TV to tune to a spesific channel from the TV-management page. The TV can only tune to channels that are available in its current TV-channel layout.
You can also instruct TVs to display spesific pages. This allows for eg forcing an external input.
You can now set a parameter to be passed to the TV when starting a built-in app. For now this is only used for web-browsing where you provide the URL. The data can be templated.
Some bugs were fixed in the full EPG component, and some optimizations were made.

Traditional radio mode is now available by creating a channel table containing the radio channels, creating a menu page tagged as Radio Channels and adding these two in the TV configuration.

You can now replace uploaded images. This is very useful when importing a theme.

A TV-service providing a web-radio directory is now available. Included is also support for setting query-params when using ItemLists. Read more here.
Introducing this documentation portal. It is not complete, but we are off to a good start here. Main forcus for this first release has been on the menu editor.
A lot of effort has been put into the upcoming themes support. Unfortunatly the feature was not ready for this upgrade, even if most of the "under the hood" parts are included.
The portal is now available in the norwegian language.
We have done some long needed maintenance on the mobile version ofthe portal. Not all views will be available in the mobile version, but those that are should now be using mobile-adapted GUI components.
