If the Bluefin Linux is not already pre-installed then you can use the following instructions to setup and/or factory reset the device:
- Power off the player
- Plug in the bootable SD card that has the correct img into the SD card slot
- You may need a screwdriver to remove the protective plate from the card slot
- Power the player on and it should automatically begin the reimage process. Should take 5 to 10 minutes
- When the screen says to Remove the SD and reboot, remove the SD. The player will reboot automatically
- It should boot back up to the Debian desktop environment
Open Terminal (shortcut WIN+R → lxterminal → ENTER) and enter the following commands one at a time (the commands are case sensitive):
cd ~/Downloads
wget https://digsig.tv/electron/system/bluefin/setup.sh
chmod +x setup.sh
sudo ./setup.sh mirage prod
When those commands complete successfully, enter command: sudo reboot
After reboot, it should load the Hub Signage application and show an install code.
You may use these keyboard shortcuts when installing the player for the first time to make installation less time-consuming:
- F1: Show Main Signage Player
